#1 Wood Chest
Theme is Relate

THE INSPIRATION-RELATE
By 'FOR KING AND COUNTRY' is the theme for this piece.
I envision The United States of America as
ALL PEOPLE woven together into a Beautiful tapestry.
The "Tapestry" I chose for this piece was a
Native American like pattern in honor of the host nation.
I was pulling on my Native American roots for this one.
Here I am pictured with my Native American Great-Grandma whom I proudly carry some of her traits as well as having my middle name after her. Look how proud I am standing beside to her.

There is purpose for this piece and message being
placed first because of my love for my country
and belief that our nation will heal and be
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Before picture of this high boy dresser, and a sneak peek at what will soon be a
finished piece.
A key lyric in the inspiration of this picture is,
"The world's gonna hear 'cause I'm gonna shout,
And I will be dancing when circumstances drown the music out.
Say I Won't!"

The Inspiration - Fighter by Jamie Grace

Jamie Grace wrote the following:
"I was 14 when I started a foundation for teens with Tourette syndrome (like myself) that is now called I'm A Fighter. I spent a good bit of my high school and college years traveling and speaking on behalf of my foundation and doing a lot of YouTube videos to encourage and inspire others who may be facing difficulty. I've grown up trying to learn how to cope with this condition [Tourette syndrome]and learning how to cope with something you can't control. As I've gotten older, I've come to realize that that's not something you learn by only having Tourette. I really want to encourage people and share the inspiring stories of kids with cancer or Tourette syndrome or single moms or hard-working fathers. I wanted to take their stories and write a song for them that represents not only their resilience in being fighters but thank them for inspiring me to be a fighter as well."
#5 Basewood Coffee Table
This coffee table was from a huge Basswood Tree in our yard from my childhood. The memory of my dad tossing that heavy strap way up and over that big tree limb, attaching a tire for a swing for us, then trying it out to make sure it was safe is a fond one.

This piece is going in our living room. It is not complete yet. I will be creating a beautiful Resin Epoxy top with paint and German Glass glitter.
Stay tuned!

The lyric in this tune says-
The real-life lesson about a life well-lived
is you lose what don't matter
But the sun's coming up on the stairway to Heaven
And it's sweet ever after
The idea for this piece came after seeing devastating images on TV from Tornados this summer. This song came to my mind.
I read a comment from someone who suffered loss from one of these storms and she said this was their anthem song.
If you have suffered loss from disaster or a circumstance which resulted in, you losing everything. Perhaps this could well be an anthem song for you.

And The Poem "Footprints in the Sand"

The Poem "Footprints in the Sand" was written by Mary Stevenson. Mary was born in 1922. She lost her mother at the age of six. Alone, her father raised Mary and her seven siblings during The Great Depression. It was in her early teens that Mary wrote the famous poem having been inspired by the many things that had affected her young life. There were many who tried to claim authorship to her poem through the years. A copy of Mary's poem, that she had written in 1936 was authenticated as genuine by a forensic specialist and said to be approximately fifty-plus years old, pre-dating any claims made by others and Mary was awarded the copyright for her own poem in 1984. Mary went on to be with Lord in January 1999.
I grew up with this poem hanging on the wall in our living room. I would read it over and over. Many times, throughout my life, this poem would bubble up on the inside of me and give me comfort.
"Footprints in the Sand"
One night I dreamed
I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene, I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could only see one set of footprints.
So, I said to the Lord, "You promised me Lord, that if I followed You, you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there have only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why when I needed you most, you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied, "The times when you have seen only one set of footprints, is when I carried you."

#8 Picnic Table Project
During the "Shelter in Place"
2020 Pandemic
I wanted to preserve this picnic my grandpa made in the 80's. It was in rough shape. I sanded it and filled some of the deep craters with a wood filler then applied Flex Seal. It sits in our woods and the product has held up. The after pictures were taken two years later having been outside all-year-round in the harsh Minnesota winters.

Needtobreathe frontman Bear Rinehart shared his thoughts on the tune in a press release. "Probably the biggest and most constant struggle I have in my life is being able to accept love. At some place in my core, it's hard for me to believe that I'm ever worthy of it, or somehow deserve it," he explained. "'Who Am I' is a song about the fight to accept, embrace, and trust that the greatest love requires nothing in return."

The story behind the song 'Know You Will' with Joel Houston, Dylan Thomas and Dan McMurray.
"Know You Will" is an anthem of hope for uncertain times. Amidst all the madness of a world where it seems like every foundation is being shaken to the core, we're reminded that the promises of God have always been forged through the tensions of trial and fire; and the resolve to trust Him wholeheartedly, no matter what may give way around and about us. Nothing has ever once surprised Him. God alone is our compass through the chaos and disillusion, and the mettle of our faith in Him exists for days like these. Taken from Hillsong United

The Story Behind His Eye is on the Sparrow
Civilla Martin was born in Nova Scotia in 1866. Her husband was an evangelist who traveled all over the United States. She accompanied him and they worked together on most of the musical arrangements that were sung.
In 1904 Civilla was visiting an ill, bedridden friend. Although discouraged and sick, her friend remembered that God, her Heavenly Father, was watching over each little sparrow and would certianly watch after her. Matthew 10:29-31: "Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows."
Mrs. Martin was a poet and thought this would be a perfect idea for a poem. She jotted down the idea and by the end of the day, had completed "His Eye is On The Sparrow".
The entire poem was sent to a well-known composer of that day, Charles Gabriel. His lovely music has carried it all around the world in small churches and great crusades. Ethel Waters is remembered for her great rendition of this song, when she sang and gave her testimony at many Billy Graham Crusades.
